Female Michigan Skydiving Record Claimed At Midwest Freefall

Published: January 7, 2018

On September 2, 2017, Claire Greenshields, Deirdre Knobeloch, Taylor Long, Casey Magyar, Debra McCann, Heather Terry and Bonnie Wiscarson took to the skies above Midwest Freefall Sport Parachute Club with their sights on claiming a state skydiving record.

What makes this team of so special? It was comprised of all female jumpers. In a sport that is mostly dominated by men, to claim a United States Parachute Association State Record for female formation skydiving is pretty special. After a number of unsuccessful attempts over the past two years by several groups of Ladies at the drop zone, these female skydivers knocked it out of the ball park.

Awarded an official United States Parachute Association State Skydiving Record for successfully completing a 3-point sequential, all female, 7-way skydive on September 2, 2017 they were all smiles.

Congratulations on all of your hard work and training.
