Canopy flight is a very important aspect of skydiving. Being able to understand the mechanics of how to fly your parachute and proper inputs for maneuvers is a valuable information which can not only make canopy flight more enjoyable but also save your life. Anyone who is just off AFF or hasn't taken a canopy course should seriously consider taking the Flight-1 courses being offer at Midwest Freefall on August 20-21st. Are you working towards getting a B License this season? Did you know one of the requirements on the USPA B License proficiency card is a canopy course? Are you an experienced skydiver? There's always something new you can learn by taking these classes.
Flight-1 will teach you things valuable skills such as how to make it back from a long spot which can help prevent offlandings, breaked turns which can save you from being injured if turning low to the ground, how different riser inputs effect your canopy, proper landing pattern planning to insure accuracy and much more. You will learn the fundamental skills needed to pilot your canopy safely and practice drills that you'll utilze thoughout your skydiving career!
Whether this is your first canopy course or if it's been awhile since you gave some love to the nylon above your head, refresh your knowledge and get reacquaninted with your canopy!
